Computing Lab Support Team Leader
Main Responsibilities
Supervise, train and evaluate technical and support R&D IT Lab team - determines work assignments.
Work with lab team tools for incident management, priorities, follow up and management reports.
Management of Lab space inventory includes tracking, occupancy and forecast real estate future needs.
R&D Virtual environment management based on VMWare cluster, determine Users guidelines and resources expansion.
Fully responsible for review, management and approval of all lab expenses.
Labs IT appliances and infrastructure Technical assistance and problems solving.
Professional requirements:
Past experience in lab support - preferred
Experience as a team leader
Hands-on experience with Linux, Microsoft and VMware administration, Network settings.
Knowledge with: Supermicro Servers, Dell Servers, Intel Servers, Netapp Storage, RAID configuration.
Servers Hardware hands on:
Firmware upgrade – BIOS, ILO, IMM, IDRAC, BMC .
Parts replacement – CPU, RAM, PCIe adapters, Hard drives, SSD, 19" rack installation
Personal attributes:
Very analytical, excellent problem solving skills
Great communication skills, ability to present a technical idea / concept clearly
Good ability to work and influence in a matrix environment
Highly self-directed and motivated, works well independently and on a team
Self-learner
Can-do approach, flexible and pragmatic attitude
Capable of multi-tasking, good time management and prioritization of tasks
